Chippewa-Justin High Boot.

One of my original inspirations for this blog.

These Chippewa-Justin "Packer" boots have been worn by my Uncle John since the fall of '00. Originally purchased as a "Sunday Best" shoe, they were quickly put into everyday use after 1-3 years. This is what a real leather shoe looks like after an incredible 10 yrs. of service.

Get excited, and get your own. Shoes, boots, whatever you prefer. Just wear them often, wear them with everything, and they will quickly develop their own unique patina.

Filson.

My Filson medium field duffle. Made from an incredible 22oz. oil finished twill and genuine bridle leather in the same Seattle, Washington factory they have been using since 1897. Originally suppliers to the lone few who were soon to brave Alaska; Filson is known for a dedication to quality craftsmanship, materials, and American production in order to provide what probably shouldn't even be called a warranty.

"Built to carry as heavy a load as your shoulder can handle..." I can already attest to that, and if it doesn't it'll be repaired for life.

Post One.

Today marks the first post of Broken-In.

I've decided to create something in order to share my passion for quality goods and services with the world. There are others currently out there in one form or another; but I believe that in these times a return to quality goods, made by skilled individuals, in an environment where they can both practice their craft while supporting their loved ones matters.

More to come soon!

Enjoy.
